Quick answer:
- Start with the first day you can leave and the nights you’ll have on the ground.
- Seven nights points to Mexico or Hawaii.
- Twelve to fourteen nights opens up Europe, a safari or the Indian Ocean.
- In our recent planning, budgets have clustered around $8,000 to $12,000 for Mexico or Hawaii, $15,000 to $25,000 for Europe, and $25,000 or more for the Maldives or a luxury safari.
A honeymoon has a fixed date, two tired travelers and a high cost if the room or routing is wrong. We plan them for couples marrying in Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck, the Minnesota lakes and the Twin Cities.

Four questions before choosing a destination
- How many nights do you have after the last family brunch?
- Can you sit through a 16-hour journey after a week of celebrations?
- Is this one resort or two countries?
- What is the real budget, not the Pinterest number?
With seven nights including flights from Fargo, we wouldn’t suggest the Maldives. We’d suggest Mexico, Hawaii if the routing cooperates, or a single European city with a coast.

Patterns that work from the Upper Midwest
- Short and warm: Riviera Maya or Cabo, with a night-before hotel at MSP if needed
- Classic Europe: Italy or Greece with one packing change
- A statement trip: Maldives or Seychelles with business air, booked early
- Adventure: Kenya plus a beach, if you can commit 12 or more months ahead
We also arrange the personal touches, such as room category, a cake and an arrival amenity, without a 12-page form.

When to book
Book the Maldives, peak Italy and safari honeymoons 9 to 12 months out.
Mexico and many Caribbean weeks can move faster, but Christmas week cannot. Agree a total budget covering flights, lodging, transfers, meals, activities and insurance, and if you plan to use points, confirm availability before transferring them.
What changes for a Midwest wedding
A Saturday wedding, Sunday brunch and Monday long-haul departure can mean an early feeder flight from Fargo.
Compare a night near MSP or a later departure with the cost of arriving exhausted. After a lakes-area wedding, decide whether you’ll leave from the Twin Cities or go home first for bags and documents, since that can change the route.

Planning fees
For most leisure honeymoons we don’t charge a planning fee, because supplier commissions cover the work. Complex multi-country trips are discussed up front.

FAQ
Do we need an adults-only resort?
Only if it would make your stay better. Tell us and we’ll filter.
Can we use points for the long-haul?
Sometimes. We check availability and taxes before you transfer anything.
Can we book the hotel ourselves and have you add perks?
Usually not, because benefits are tied to the booking path.
Where do we start?
With the date you can actually leave, not the island name.
